Beginning with training geared for those who are new to the office, this conference brings together chapter presidents from across the state for five days of instruction ranging from time management to the president's role in negotiations. Participants have the opportunity to meet state leadership as well as other chapter presidents to network and form connections that will benefit them during and after their term of office.

Building on Successes through Powerful Dialogue - Urban and suburban schools are faced with meeting the diverse needs of students, including when funds are very limited. Change must happen if we are to enhance our students’ ability to learn. This conference will focus on sharing tools and best practices by our members and staff who work in urban and suburban settings. Dialogue is a powerful tool. Join your colleagues as we build on our own successes to impact the future of urban education. Dr. Elaine Bernard, Executive Director of the Trade Union Program at Harvard University, will be the keynote speaker.
